What is a Personal Style Guide? And why is it so damn sexy?
A peak inside the editorial magazine all about YOU.
At FREE SPIRIT, I help leaders, creatives & entrepreneurs release mental-emotional weights so they can change their life & change the world with the momentum of a freshly WD-40’d railway. My work is about accessing internal peace and strength to create freedom from within. I do this in 3 ways:
Coaching: I like to help people “get there” — to a goal, a resolution, to a connected relationship with their bodies’, wisdom and bigger powers out there. I use psychological, somatic and spiritual techniques as well as my own intuition to get people out of their own way and into the exact reality they want. And it’s fast.
“I’ve been in therapy for 10 years and nothing has gotten me to the root faster than Libby’s coaching sessions. It’s actually unbelievable.” — Client, NYC
Unblocking Session: A shorter to-the-point version of what’s already been said. This is 60 minutes of laser coaching where I help you identify your biggest block and work to move it out of the way so you can be free to move forward on what you want. Think of it like moving a gigantic boulder out of the river so you can float with ease downstream.
"I’ve tried everything—every somatic course, every manifestation experiment, tons of therapy, and endless YouTube deep dives—but nothing worked as quickly as Libby’s coaching. I’m talking— unlocking the confidence to ask for and receive a raise immediately and several more direct and instant manifestations." — Client, Los Angeles
Spirit of Style: (Here’s where the Guide comes in) This experience is about discovering your TRUE personal style during this current phase of your life. How does your most expanded, electric, sovereign self want to dress right now? How can listening to that part of you heal you and connect you to your sense of creativity and leadership? After 1 hour of coaching with me, I collect your values, deep insights and fresh self-discoveries to compile your 20+ page Personal Style Guide to show you a refined, editorial style reflection of your unique energy expressed.
Below is an example of a style guide I made for a dear friend and fellow 30-something who felt she needed a tune-up in the style department (so many of us at this age are needing guidance with style, identity and expression right now — more on that later, but just in case you were wondering, you’re not alone).
Style Guide for Kelsey— Sustainability Specialist living in Denver, CO
Kelsey was looking for a style that would tell her life story and also feel relevant in the grounded elements of Colorado. She has lived all over the world— from Philadelphia to Montreal to Melbourne to Copenhagen and back to Denver. She’s inspired by the Scandinavian style philosophy of functional style (ie. bike shorts under a dress because that’s life in Denmark) and wanted to make that work while feeling elevated as a woman in her 30’s.
Once we went deep into what she cares about in life and in her closet, we were able to come up with core values to build her dream wardrobe around it. Her style really reflects the world she’s seen and parts of those cultures she has found to be so beautiful. It’s polished but simple while maintaining an earthy foundation and playful statements. Perfect for a girl who just wants to feel like herself, but better.
Kelsey is a smart, professional woman who works in corporate sustainability so the clean sharp yet comfortable look feels important. She is also a free-spirited Phish fan and live music lover who you will definitely catch at a music festival or party absolutely GETTING DOWN. Factoring that in involves a playful, confident and understated vibe — one that this guide can inspire (I always include sourcing links with a variety of price points in case the client wants to do a little shopping).
I always include a list of high-end designers to use as inspiration so they can see a whole collection of a certain vibe they’re going for. Then based on their budget, I encourage them to thrift similar pieces or invest in high-quality (that can be second hand — there’s a whole section of second hand shopping tips and ethical sustainable practices at the end!). One of my favorite pages is the sourcing strategies and links page (see below). Here I basically act as your personal shopper and you can choose to buy or not, but it’s always fun to look!
The rest of the guide includes those second-hand/sustainable tips, upcycling DIY strategies and my signature closet cleanse activity. It’s packed with value and includes a 2-week Voxer portal where we can voicenote and text all about who you’re becoming.
If you want a piece of this, I have a special offer that only those who read this Substack until the end will have access to (those who pay attention will always be rewarded).
Dun duh da DAH!!! Your $100 discount for a Spirit of Style package is HERE! Grab before the summer is over. Spots are limited as the guides take me hours to complete — but I’m dying to make more some come and get it!

"Libby has this incredible gift of truly seeing you. She helps you peel back the layers and reconnect with who you really are.
